Intraoperative Neurophysiology Introduction, Applications, and Other Considerations

Neuro Alert will exhibit in booth #315 at the 2016 TxANA Annual Convention & Trade Show from August 4-6, 2016 at The Westin Galleria Houston.

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., July 28, 2016--Neuro Alert, an industry-leading intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) provider, is participating in the 2016 Texas Association of Nurse Anesthetists, Inc. (TxANA) Annual Convention & Trade Show to be held from August 4-7, 2016 in Houston, TX. Senior Surgical Neurophysiologist at Neuro Alert, Christopher Martin, will present “Introduction to Intraoperative Neurophysiology” and “Intraoperative Monitoring Applications and Considerations” on Friday, August 5th from 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm in Galleria I, II.

The TxANA facilitates cooperation between nurse anesthetists and the medical profession, hospitals, healthcare providers, and other agencies interested in anesthesia. It hosts annual conferences that include at least three days (20 hours) of seminars, a trade show, and several specialty seminars to help improve clinical and leadership abilities.

“As proven experts in the use and interpretation of IONM, we are looking forward to discussing the effectiveness of our IONM services in booth #315 at TxANA 2016. Our mission is to ensure patient safety, not only by providing the highest quality of IONM services, but also by aligning ourselves with the surgical team, so that we can guarantee the best possible surgical outcomes together,” said Karthik Seshan, CEO of Neuro Alert.

Mr. Martin is an accomplished surgical neurophysiologist who holds certifications in both Intraoperative Monitoring (IOM) and Evoked Potentials with the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET). He has monitored over 5000 cases, ranging from routine to the most complex and has published articles related to IOM research in international journals and presented research results at national IOM meetings. The former Director and Regional Manager has more than a decade’s experience in IONM.

“Neuro Alert is indebted to the TxANA for the opportunity to speak about the impact of anesthesia on IONM. We look forward to not only imparting our knowledge, but also hearing the perspective of the anesthesiologists to analyze and determine better solutions and performance,” said Dr. Martin.
